Amy - I've been in a similar place as an independent American 'unemotional' woman with a seemingly sweet and modern Turkish guy from Turkey but settled in the US. First thing you must know is they are very sly and will play the long game. Come across as very polite and will never push you - because they know that would blow their cover. Believe me as Honest and Modern as they act in they end they are very manipulative and dishonest. Slowly you will find yourself getting attached and vulnerable - and when that day comes they smell it like a wild animal and you are toast!!

Trust me - no good can come if this- you have completely different value systems so much that you can't even imagine. Sorry to be dramatic but I never thought I could be duped -and the damage from that relationship changed my life and mentality to have very negative feelings about trusting men. I never felt that way before - was in relationships with American and European men - no problem. Turkish guy - sweet as pie for a long time then morphed into the most evil Mother F-er I've ever met. Major mind blower and very painful. Over it now - but took a whole

Save yourself. Get another non Turk guy to be in an unemotional sexual relationship with. Sorry to be a bummer! You will be a happier person in the end.
