Reader comment on item: Israel Shuns Victory

Submitted by Harrak (Canada), Mar 28, 2006 at 22:53

..in order to stay within the frame of participation (relevance, substance, and tone)...; I prefer to sum up all the meanings in one Arabic proverb:

"the loser of something can not give it" I say: ..and how would some one physical or legal person give something he does not own. Doesn`t sound like selling the fish in the atlantic!!!

Israel does not own victory Dr Pipes and therefore can not give it..

Congratulations to Kadema -Centre- and to -one nation Israel- Russian right wingers who had a successful election. At least Israelis will not have to go too right or too left in the making of their politics.

But in realism, a Knesset with 129 seats where the winning party controls 30 seats makes it very hard to move forward. It takes huge consensus building. It is even worst that The Harper government in Canada. I think democracy in Israel is a bit unstable face to face with a strong majority government of Hamas.

In this conflict, the nukes are useless.
The only useful biological weapon is demography. inside Israel you have 20% of Arabs. In Gaza and W bank, a number equivalant to all Israel. In exile, you can not count..I almost gave up suggesting solution because it seems like the solution is self proving..

I will be voting for the UN as the winners...They just need to be winners..
