Reader comment on item: Israel Shuns Victory

Certainly Mr Pipes has hit the mark here.

The current situation in which most Israelis are weary of psychological warfare is indicative of the folly of practicing modern godless humanism. The United States, Israel and the free world has moved into the age of humanistic relativism, self doubt and so-called police actions that will never achieve their stated ends. Today's "wars" don't focus on subjugation of the enemy, disarming him and dictating clear terms designed to keep him from further malevolence. Humanism says that mankind is good, so that if we apply enough money, education and kindness to him he will finally change. History proves that this is a lie and will lead to much greater war later on.

At least militant Islam understands this, and they go to war in the name of their false god, whom they are passionately commited to. It is gross self-deception to go to war in the name of benevolent, humanistic democracy. The USA and Israel, the foremost Christian nation and the chosen people of the God of Israel have abandoned Him to go to war in the name of this globalist, materialist, humanism. This path is doomed to fail and will lead to tragedy and more war.
