Reader comment on item: Israel Shuns Victory

Submitted by Daniel Nanavati (United Kingdom), Apr 1, 2006 at 14:00

WW1 was a clash of Empires where several interestes wanted to rule and Germany lost. The peace Treaty of versailles was so designed to impoverish Germany and the seeds of WW2 are in that Peace Treaty.

Commentators amongst Jewry forget that until the 1980s the Middle East was a proxy war between Russia and America. Of course Arabs are militant nationalists but they were armed to the teeth and encouraged by Russia. Russia still displays those close links and in many ways the friends of the Arabs still display the 19th Century interests of vieing Empires.

The problem we face is that the Arabs are defeated, they just don't know it yet.
