Earlier this year Prof. Pipes predicted that Kadima would prove to be a flash in the pan and that the mould of Israeli politics would return to normal by the election with Likud as the dominant party. Instead we have Likud reduced to *fifth place*. Only goes to show you that Pipes' propensity for wishful thinking overwhelms his ability for accurate and prescient analysis.

I'm waiting for Pipes to admit that he was wrong in his earlier prediction. I expect to be waiting a long time.
