Compromise= defeat

Reader comment on item: Israel Shuns Victory

Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Mar 28, 2006 at 11:45

Giving in to Palestinian requests will only generate more requests. Compromise will only generate more hunger for territory. When the Israelis give in to some Palestinian requests, they will find out that the Palestinians want much more than that. The Arabs don't even acknowledge Israel's right to exist in this world. Ultimately, the Arabs want the total destruction of the state of Israel.

Compromise equals defeat. The Arabs don't have any problems in seeing Israel as the "enemy". Therefore, Israel should not feel guilty of talking about "self-defence" or "enemies". I am European, but I don't share my people's hostility towards Israel. It is time to support the Israeli people.
