Winning the war

The article of Daniel is really good, but it is not clear for me how he interprets "winning the war". For example: has Israel won wars against the arabs in 1948,1967,1973? From arab point of view not, because( and that vision is millenia years old) to win a war you need a. to conquer the territories of your enemy, b. to kill the first part of the population, c. to expel the second part and d. enslave the third one.

It is clear that in XX, XXI century any civilized nation can not perpertrate that. That is why any war against arabs will be uncompleted and everything will come back to the square one again.
