Israel's survival

Reader comment on item: Israel Shuns Victory

Submitted by Jerome B. Meyer (United States), Mar 28, 2006 at 09:18

This is the clearest, cleanest analysis of the problems of Israel's survival that has been published. History tells us that wars are not won by discussion but only when one side exerts sufficient force to cause the enemy to lose the will and capability to continue the fight. This lesson is threads its way from biblical days to WWll. Israel had this capability when the PLO was forced to leave Lebanon and then tried to "make friends" with the Oslo agreement.

Israel's survival depends upon them implementing the phrase "There is no substitute for victory!". The longer they wait the stronger the enemy will become.
