Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam
in response to reader comment: War on Islam or on Islamism

I believe we are at war with Islam. Whether we like it or not.

I believe that Bush has been much more straight forward, than the Islamists, in that he has taken steps to confront Islam in a war, by actually going into Iraq. I think he further intends to attack Iran when he is ready. I don`t know why he doesn`t proclaim an all out war on Islam. I think he should be even more open in that regard, perhaps he is not ready too at the moment.

It is the Islamists who have not dared to stand up to Bush, except with cowardly terror tactics. They are too timid, too weak as men and too sneaky to dare to come out and fight in any real way.

I for one openly declare war on Islam.

I think a proper open all out war should be declared, if only the Islamists would come out and fight. I think at the moment the limited war against terrorism is being fought by the US in the wrong way. It is only allowing the Islamists to (typically) use their traditional ways of fighting and that is by cowardly sniping from the shadows, instead of coming out and fighting openly, man to man.
