Your reasons are logical and I dont disagree. Let me tell you, the fault lies in the interpretation. There are 200 different schools that have tried to interpret the koran.. each to their own liking. The wahabists are the worst. There is no central authority in Islam. Saudis, Turks and Iranis each like to think they are the central authority but in actual none of them is.

A few points or clarifications:

- Islam does not have missionaries to convert people. Islam does not want 'you' to change.
- Islam does not blame Jews for killing Christ
- Infidel is a misused and wrong term. Its been abused by illiterate Mullahs for ages. Its a pity media even gives them coverage.
- The real Islam is 'not' Koran or the sayings of 'Muhammad'. As per the Koran itself, Muhammad was a human not an extraordinary superior being or something. He had his faults.
- No one even can confirm if many of those sayings of 'Muhammad' are correct. There is a lot of doubt and discussion within Islamic schools of the validity of the sayings. He might have been misquoted as well.

The main problem that I see with 'Islam' is a lack of clarity. Most muslims are simple spiritual people who live like any other person on this world. The word Jihad has been abused by the Mullahs for centuries. Main problem again with Islam is a complete ignorance and reform of the religion itself.

The Arabs must sit down and 'reform' Islam. The concept of reform is known as 'Ijtehad' in Islam. Last 1400 years no one has done any 'Ijtehad' in Islam. the religion badly needs to be reformed to make it compatible with modern times. The problem is 'who' will do it? There is no central authority. The Arabs are not educated neither willing. The non-arab muslims like turks etc dont have the respect among the 'arabs muslims' to change their views.

Finally I do hear a lot of koranic verses on this forum that preach violence. Many of such verses are also part of the Bible. One just doesnt hear about them.

Please dont hate a billion people that for faults of thousands. I dont think you will gain anything out of that. This world needs love and compassion and forgiveness, not hate and more hate. Someone has to make a beginning.
