Jesus had political and military agenda? ... If that had been the case, then he would have joined Barrabas and Judas wouldn't be known as a traitor and fallen apostle. Jesus didn't fight at all, but accepted his ascent to heaven. I m a fighter, so I do get frustrated with that whole thing, but who am I to question this GREAT LORD. There is NO history of him teaching or preaching anything but love, acceptance, good.

He was identified since birth as a Savior/Messiah and didn't come up with it as an adult. There is much history that proves the stories surrounding his birth even if you question the divine conception theory. You say that he was amongst many claiming to be Messiah... apparently his is the only story that stuck and his message was so inspiring that BILLIONS have followed and spread his love for over 2000 years. To this day, more people have been helped around the world with Christian or Jewish assistance than all other religions or organizations. And it's done with love and not force.

As far as myth and imagination... come on... we can question all religions or any written history as we were not there and are always going on someones interpretations of what happend long ago. That includes the words of Moses and Mohammed or any of these historic figures religious or not. All religions are based on the interpretations of historic stories and evolve with the times based on the people of that time. However, no matter how you slice it or if you have any religion at all... all the religions teach peace and kindness and most adhere to those teachings. Even if it is a religion that tries to convert the masses, at least it's done with love and charity. Except, again, Islam where you are considered dead if you don't believe in their form of God. Oh, and just how many people around the world have been helped by Islamic charity besides suicide bombers families?

Remember.... I'm not even really religious... but I respect faith, goodness, equality, and freedom.
