Well written and very much to the point. I have also noted in my own opinion articles that America and other countries in the Western world must finally confront the fact that Islam, not just 'radical Islam' is the problem being faced. Any student of world history will agree that the religion founded by the prophet Muhamamad in the sixth century was one of intemidation and conquest from the outset. This religion, which eventually reached Eastward to the Philippines, and Westward to Spain and the Balkans, was only pushed back (in the West) when European countries made a concerted effort to do so.

Nowdays, with more and more Muslims living in Europe and North America, and with demographic statistics definitley on their side (Muslim women average 6-7 children per family compared to 1.5 children in European households), their numbers will increase even more. The EU countries have already become worried about this trend, but, efforts made by them to curtail this 'tide' may be too little - too late. Islam is now the fastest growing world religion, and is destined to become the dominant world religion by the end of the 21st Century.

Even so called 'moderate' Muslims still follow the teachings of the Qu'ran, which is not very tolerant of "Non Believers". Though perhaps not sponsoring radical terrorism, they still follow the original teachings of the man who's vision was to spread his religion by any means - even by force of arms.

It's also interesting how Muhammad incorporated many Jewish religious practices in his religion; and despite this, was extremely hostile and antagonistic toward them. This practice, unfortunately, carries down to this day.

Americans, Britains, and others presently engaged in the War Against Terror, should now give more attention to the real tennants of Islam, and perhaps change the wording of their crusade to the "War Against Islamic Terror".

Oil or no oil, Saudis or Kuwaitis, this is the fact of life in today's world.
