The point I am trying to make is this, Muslims do give, and they give a lot, but they start with their neighbors, and kin folk. Since there are many extended families in most Muslim cultures, it never really passes those who are close. Don't get me wrong, the west is very generous at times, it even says in the Quran there are Christians who give for the sake of god without wanting anything back, and the Quran really praises them for that. Adoption is another issue which Muslims and Christians handle differently, not better or worse, but differently. Muslims take care of their own, while the west adopts from other countries and agencies. In the east it's more like the uncle of the orphan or aunt, grandmother etc that raises the kids.

Saudis gave 133 million dollars to Pakistan for the quake, I don't really know how that is peanuts compared to words of condolence from bush, and 3 helicopters. Let's be real honest, most of the time when the US gives something or does anything abroad its serving its own self interest. This war in Iraq was not the most urgent pressing humanitarian issue in the world. Are you seriously telling me out of our good hearts we went there to get rid of saddam, because he is oppressing the poor Iraqis? If that is the case, y don't we do the same for Somalis, were warlords ran muck since 1991, or other African nations where ppl are being killed by the thousands. I true believe we are there for oil. But that is not what we this posting is about.

And Gary, Israelis occupation, and you know its occupation is a thorn on the side of every Muslim. Actually in my eyes that is not business, but a selfless act to insure the mosque our holy prophet "ppup" ascending to heaven "third holiest site of Muslims", is in Muslim hands. If it was business, he would have asked for money or something to that affect, but he didn't. I hope you see that the United States opened a can of worms by so stingily supporting Israel's illegal occupation of the holy lands. Its being called Illegal by the UN, which are owned and operated by western countries, and if that is not wrong, I don't really know what is

As for Saudis paying bombers to blow themselves up, that is not right, and god will punish them for twisting his faith and using it to murder innocent ppl. And Anyone who willingly kills himself is going to hell, this life is gods, and he takes it when he wants, not when you feel like it. That is my Believe. I also believe that the self sacrifice issue comes from the want to get into heaven, even though the way they are doing it is wrong. Fight like a man lol. But they cant, they are out numbered out gunned, and still they are willing to fight, amazing the determination these ppl have, while we sit here and type words, they are blowing themselves up to get their point across.

I say we are not doing enough to stop the violence and up the game of cultural understanding. One thing that always makes me feel uneasy is the fact that less then 2% of missionary services are aimed at Muslim countries. While the great muslim population in the united states and Canada are spearing the word of god and converting ppl left and right, Christian missionaries are not doing their part in the Muslim world which adds to the fire.
