Islam is NOT the Greatest Above All

Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam

While it is true that there is so much great to be said or read of the writings of the Islamic religion... Ultimately, actions speak louder than words and wherever Islam goes so does strife, violence, dictatorships, human rights crimes, and misery. While you may bring up unflattering incidents in any religion... Islam has brought violence and prejudice with it from day one... It only grows by force. I have friends throughout Asia and the Phillipines that can tell you just how peaceful the takeover of their countries has been. Just ask the familiies of the little girls who's heads were cut off recently in Indonesia or the Nun that was stabbed in Egypt last month. Just ask them how peaceful Islam's encroachment has been throughout history.

All other religions preach peace, tolerance, unity, equality and their actios on the most part are just that. There are zealots in all, but in Islam it's become the rule and not the exception. If you don't like this picture... as a moderate peaceful Muslim... get you and your other moderate friends in the millions and change it by opening your mouths against radical/militant Islamists. I am sorry... but I just don't hear or see that being done on the scale it ought to be. Remember, it's in your best interest because the civilized world ISN'T GOING TO CONFORM TO SHARIA LAW EVER!!!!! Do you really think that millions of free women around the world are going to become second hand citizens? Life in America or any civilized modern nation isn't perfect, and no one claims it, but when I compare the picture to countries where Islam rules... there IS NO COMPARISON.

If there were millions of Christians/Jews/Budhists, etc killing innocents around the world forcing their religions on them... I can guarantee that millions of the truely peaceful on earth would stand up and help stamp it out rather than just a bunch of double talk.
