Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam

Submitted by Ralph C Whaley MD (United States), Oct 13, 2005 at 16:39

The President has made a step forward by naming Radical Islam and condemning it as Evil. That is not sufficient to take the actions needed to protect America. War is a violent conflict between governments. Iran is the Nation whose government is the fountainhead of Radical Islam, its most dangerous propagator, and the most dangerous agent that is waging war on America. Iran is the primary enemy and its government must be destroyed by our military. Both its capability and will to wage war must be completely demolished and the message made clear to all the lesser enemy governments that they must disband their military forces and cease their support in every respect for the Radical Islamists or they will experience the same devastation as Iran. Only a widespread undestanding of these facts and a popular demand from the citizens of America will persuade the President to take this action. Absent the total defeat of Iran before they have the nulear weapons to strike America it will happen to our great suffering. The choice is clear destroy their government or be destroyed.
