Thanks for that link. Following it I also found this:

http://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/cgi-bin/newsviews.cgi/Islam/The_Enemy_Inside_th.html?seemore=y

There, Srdja Trifkovic discusses the very serious problem of Islamist 5th column operatives, and it's consequences. It is essential that we defend ourselves on this front as well. That is not being done.

"In any group of 1,000-plus Muslim immigrants centered around a mosque, it can be predicted with near-certainty (1) that some percentage will sympathize with the objectives of Al-Qaeda and its ilk, if not quite with all of their methods; and (2) that some smaller percentage of that group, especially among the Western-born young, will support those methods as well, and prove willing to apply them in practice. "

That is a fact that neither Mr. Bush, nor any other administration representative, have addressed. That silence makes me suspect it is 'not on their radar'. If that is the case, and they think that the only front in this war is a military one, they have (barring some unforseen event) already lost.

As they become more brazen, the Muslim leadership advances ever more daring ideological attacks. Here's a recent example:

http://www.donfeder.com/filecabinet//09082005.doc

It is not only disturbing that Muslims in general do not protest, but even non-Muslims who "know better," and who used to at least appear to care, now also don't seem to. The longer we wait to deal with the ideological poison, the more likely we are to succumb to it.

If our leaders are keeping silent to maintain a PC appearance, that is a colossal error. The problem needs to be articulated to the nation from the top leadership. If the country isn't aware of the danger, they can't form a unified defense, and will remain ideologically vulnerable. And, since this is primarily a war of ideologies, ignoring it's main thrust is sheer folly.
