Religion of Bin Laden and his Ilk is Islam

Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam

Mr. Bush and his advisors still do not comprehend what they are facing in fight with "radical" Islam. To say that these terrorists and their actions are separate from religion of Islam is nonsense and pure hogwash. As long as our President and his advisors keep saying that for whatever political reasons it will keep the so called "moderate" Muslims happy but we will not be able to fight these terrorists effectively.

The fact is there is only one Islam and the people who we call terrorists are the true followers of Islam. Why is it so difficult to understand this? Read Quran and Hadith and look at Muslims' record of murder, mayham, looting, invading and every other conceivable crime against humanity, for last 1400 years which is continuing throughout the world even today - and some people still think its a peaceful religion? Something is wrong with this picture. Who were these people? Muslims or not? By today's definition they will be called terrorists - not really separate from the the religion of Islam. It should be clear that the present day Bin Ladens, and other terrorists are just following the Islam set by Mohammad and his followers. So what's the basis for distingushing their actions from the religion of Islam now and saying that they are not real Muslims? There is none. You really cannot do that, unless you want to appease Muslims. The so called "moderate" and "peaceful" Muslims follow the same Islam and are the enablers of these terrorist Muslims because they never even criticize them let alone join us in fight to eradicate them. We will not get any help from any Muslim in this fight.

Unless and until the Western nations understand this problem clearly and take actions, the war on terror will never end.
