Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam

Submitted by Dr. Anthony Ruffino (United States), Oct 11, 2005 at 14:21

While there is much wisdom in the comments your article has received, and your points are (as usual) timely and important, we will continue to be at great risk until GWBush's administration awakens to at least two major gaping holes in our nation's armor:
1) How can we continue to allow (ACLU be damned!) the continued existence of Islamist "schools" teaching young muslim boys to hate us and to a carry out Juhad against us?? Can you picture a western school in Riyadh teaching American klids to hate the Saudi family and to curse the Qu'ran ?
2) When will we awaken to the seriously dangerous delinquency of our government's refusla to close borders to illegals and especially to those potential threats in the form of young male persons coming to America with no real reason. If we must "profile", so be it. I want to keep America as it is in terms of decency and humanity, but most of our terror has come from Arab-looking males between 20 and 45. Lets' stop frisking 90 year old women with canes and walkers and get to a reasonable security at all our borders. Islamists can fly to Mexico or Canada as well as they can try to land at Dulles International or JFK.
