Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam

Submitted by gary (United States), Oct 12, 2005 at 19:19

i was heartend by the speech that george bush gave on islamic terrorism. also notice that i used the word islamic and not islamist because islamist is a type of politically correct word that western society uses when it wants to live in denial of the overall problem. and the problem in this case is islam itself. it is not a religion of peace. it was formed by a military man who had no mercy for his enemies and routinely lied to gain an advantage. abraham and jesus were prophets, mohammed was not.

the reason for the title i used for this commentary is because i have been saying the things doctor pipes mentions for at least 15 years. i have been called a bigot, a racist and a nazi. but my statements have been based on empirical evedence, not impassioned rhetoric. you may ask any of my friends that i have been saying to them for years that we compromised an entire country for 53 people who were told to leave iran by our state department and arrogantly ignored these warnings because they felt they "knew" the enemy. now instead of derision, people are starting to see the truth.

we gain nothing by kowtowing to islam because islam has not created anything for the world except for misery over the last century. i wish that dr. pipes would report on all the christian minorities around the world that are being attacked by the moslem majorities. we do business on a regular basis with the saudis who have no respect whatsoever for our culture or our way of life. and we do so because it is in the best interests of the oil companies and not the american people.

and as for making laws to placate the moslems in our western societies, it is the contra-positive of what we should be doing. the moslems dont take our gestures as one of compassion, they take it as a sign of weakness and push for more and more to achieve their agendas by putting limitations on our rights. we should have the courage to tell these people to assimilate or leave. no society in the history of the world has ever survived by accommodating the aggressor.

and in conclusion, i once again compliment dr pipes. he is cut from a different cloth then most of us. his keen insight into the problems caused by islamic arrogance and the courage to call them on it when everyone around him is trying to appease them is commendable in the first division. what we need in this world at this time are more churchills and less chamberlains.

thank you
