Asalaamu alaykum (peace be upon you)
I understand your perspective my friend and have a simple explanation. Islam as you know comprise's of two main sect's sunni and shia. The Quranic verses from which you are reffering origionate from the Qur'an of the Shia's and it is completely differs from the Qur'an the Sunni's follow. The Shia's have a completely different religion, they believe that Muhammed (S.A.W) the phrophet is a con, cheat and charlatan (Allah forbid such transgression), they do not believe he is the messenger and their intrepretation or innovation of the Qur'an is extreme (for example they practise the art of concealing the truth, they believe that if you marry more than 4 times you aquire the status of the phrophet.)

If, you Robert describe him as such, why was the phrophet (S.A.W) voted democratically as 'the greatest man who ever lived.' (FACT) In the Sunni Qur'an, the phrophet Muhammed (S.A.W) has a direct family link to Jesus, Moses and Ibrahim (and others) does this mean they are the same. In our Qur'an the phrophet is known as 'Sadeeq' (truthfull one). Secondly, people believe what they want to believe, if i have not changed your mind; I hope Allah shows you mercy. At the end of the day, i do not care what people think, as long as i know the truth in my heart, nothing will effect.
Fi Amaan Nillah (May Allah grant you Paradise - Ameen)
