Jaladhi assumption can be very misleading sometimes. You've said that saudi arabia and Kuwait didnt help with the devastations of the tsunami and the earthquake, but that is not entirely true. Unlike the western companies and governments that have to publizise every cent they give to charity, muslims are taught to keep their donations between themselves, the victims and god. They want to give for the sake of giving, not so that they recieve praise for it, or get something back for it, like tax deduction etc. They know if they give to the way of god, he will repay them back in the hearafter and dont need any worldly rewards.

SHAKIR: By no means shall you attain to righteousness until you spend (benevolently) out of what you love; and whatever thing you spend, Allah surely knows it. quran 003.092

YUSUFALI: Serve Allah, and join not any partners with Him; and do good- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess: For Allah loveth not the arrogant, the vainglorious;-
YUSUFALI: (Nor) those who are niggardly or enjoin niggardliness on others, or hide the bounties which Allah hath bestowed on them; for We have prepared, for those who resist Faith, a punishment that steeps them in contempt;-

YUSUFALI: Not those who spend of their substance, to be seen of men, but have no faith in Allah and the Last Day: If any take the Evil One for their intimate, what a dreadful intimate he is!

we need to correct each other when we are doing something wrong, not accuse and point fingers, that is never the way.
