Reader comment on item: Bush Declares War on Radical Islam

Submitted by Howard E. Cook (United States), Oct 11, 2005 at 22:31

" Islamists intend to replace the U.S. Constitution with Shariah..." Congratulations on having articulated the basic issue. But "Islamists have a global vision" is a pot calling a kettle black. American enterprise also has a global vision. Underlying and supporting that global vision is another: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel" is a global vision. Jihad is Islamic orthodoxy, and to ask Muslims to denounce the caliphate is like asking Jews to denounce the Messiah and Christians to denounce Jesus.
