QURAN 8:67 IS NOT MEANT TO BE FOR VIOLENCEReader comment on item: A Saudi Prince's Threat to the Obama Administration Submitted by zahir (Malaysia), Mar 8, 2016 at 10:37 Quran 8:67, "It is not for a prophet that he should take captives until he hath made paralyse his enemy in the land. Ye desire the lure of this world and Allah desireth (for you) and the Hereafter, and Allah is mighty, wise". The prophet is commanded not to take prisoner of war until Muslims take control of the situation. Prisoners of war is desirable as lucrative ransom awaiting them. But, due to lack of number and facility, Muslims are commanded to kill and not accepting surrender while the battle is starting. The rule of wars and prohibition of killing non-combatants that is of old men, women, children and destroying plants, animals and property still stand.
