FIGHTING BACK IN DEFENSIVE WAY IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED BAD

Plato,if someone comes and burns your house, do you fight back so that to save your family? If you fight back so as to save your family, the fighting is considered to be good and not bad since someone starts his fighting first. If you fight back to save your family so that nobody could burn your house, it implies that those muslims that fight back to protect their mosques to prevent people to attack them is correct since this will prevent non-muslims to burn down our holy mosque. You have to bear in mind that non-muslims are those that start to fight with muslims to burn down our mosque. however, if non-muslims do not fight with us, why should we fight with them then?
