A manual of subjugation of alternate thought

Reader comment on item: Uncovering Early Islam
in response to reader comment: #2 is out of context read Quran 9:6 also

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Nov 27, 2016 at 09:15

Dear Dr Pipes, your reader cunay from Indonesia when told of brutality in Q9-5, advised readers to read Q9-6 implying that Q9-6 was very kind. I read several of Quranic Ayats from 9-5 to 9-9 or so. All combined they appear to be a constitution to guarantee subjugation of any polytheistic thought. They might have been ok 1400 years ago but in today's world they are completely out of place.
