To Mahmood Hussain

Does it bother you that the Qur'anic "challenge" to produce a Surah like it has been met, and met by the devil? my posting of 26th.May at http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/195846 says more about this incident.

Concerning "mistakes" in the Qur'an, and your belief in the "Scientific miracle of the Qur'an," evidenced by quoting Maurice Bucailles "The Bible the Qur'an and Science," which contains many inaccuracies both in regard to the scientific "facts" it presents, and in regard to the history of the Christian Scriptures, I refer you to Dr.William F. Campbells' response to Bucaille's book, titled "The Qur'an and the Bible in the light of History and Science" and posted online at http://tinyurl.com/6h74aj9

and question you advancing "science in the Qur'an" as a proof of its miraculous nature, by asking are you not aware of the scientific disaster of the Qur'an in claiming that the sun sets in a muddy Pool? Surah 18:83-91 which may be referred to online at http://www.quranbrowser.com/

There are numerous examples of "science in the Qur'an" which are advanced by Muslims, all claiming to demonstrate its miraculous nature, and all of which can be, and have been, readily shown to be erroneous, but the point being missed by those Muslims who advance these erroneous claims, is that they are giving Science a greater authority than the Qur'an, in seeking to use it (albeit unsuccessfully), to demonstrate the miraculous nature of the Qur'an, but if you want to persist in taking this "science proves the Qur'an" route Mahmood, please respond with what you believe to be the Qur'an's best "scientific miracle," and I will attempt to answer it.

With kind regards and best wishes

Lactantius Jr.
