It is a treat to read your erudite comments and elegant refutations, Plato.

As regards the massive numbers of converts to Islam, the 'fastest growing religion', I suspect that it is only Muslims who believe this and they are told this in their mosques and communities to convince them to be pious Muslims. Kind of like keeping up with the Jones'... if everyone is doing it, they should be too. It insults their intelligence in my opinion, that they should let others supposed actions dictate their own. The only reason that I might think that Muslim numbers are growing is purely birth rates and migration to Western countries. In Islamic countries we do not have clear population numbers, and life is generally cheap, whereas in Western countries, we can measure it better.

In fact, that is an interesting point to ponder. If there are more and more Muslims migrating to Western countries, does that mean there is discontent within the Muslim world and many are choosing another life or is this attributed solely to increasing birth rates?
