Thank you, Mr. Pipes for this superb synopsis of early Islam. I humbly agree that you have PERFECTLY described the foundation of Islam in a few words. This article is the BEST description of the early FOUNDATIONAL ISLAM that I have read.

All the best to you in your endeavors in popularizing modern scholarship for the non-scholars.

Islam appears to be a pastiche invented by the Machiavellian and extremely evil Hajjaj ibn Yusuf.
