Of all three major religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, none profess to be equal to or aspire to be equal to God. Speaking from a Judeo-Christian viewpoint, we have certain tenets and commandments that should be followed. There are basic foundations that were established that should be lived by to stave off a sinful lifestyle. The love of God is the foremost, then comes the love of thy neighbor, putting prejudices aside. Faith, faithfulness, hope, love, charity, honesty, just, long-suffering, patience, empathy, helps, and hard work. These characteristics are of the One True Living God and are ours to "live by" as well. Due to our immortal frailty and the continual wickedness that permeates the earth continually to separate humans from God, we fail time and time again. Thus, the prophetic seed of the woman, Y'shua (Jesus), God in the flesh, arrived and gave us an 'out' and an 'in' if one would surrender to His offer. This is the grace of God first offered to his chosen few and then to the rest of the gentile nations. However, the continual wickedness that permeates the earth is alive and well, and it is This system that actually aspires to not only be God, but to replace Him. This humanist utopian mindset is preeminent in the Marxist/Communist/Socialist elite agenda that is in a fast and furious mode as I write. In the end, they will all become as wood, hay, and stubble.
