Reader comment on item: What is Jihad?
in response to reader comment: typical american

What do I think?

Any country, group of people or leaders that participate in the killing of people for any reason what so ever are not true leaders and should not be respected by any country or nation. The killing of innocents, the killing of your own country men, women and children is sinful in any spiritual or religious concept and should not be allowed to continue. Although the American people were lied to re why we attacked Irag, I still believe that honesty, and not political lies, should have been used to promote the attack.

I would have supported the Irag conflict in the beginning if it was to go in and stop the terror happening by a sadistic leader in the torture of their own people. I have seen some of the videos and they are horrible. To go into a country for a nuclear issue which has not been proven has led me to distrust some of our own leaders in Washington. If Jihad supports this kind of treatment of their own people, I am at total loss regarding their purpose in thinking they are going to reach heaven.
