ORIGIONAL MEANING OF JIHAD

Reader comment on item: What is Jihad?

Submitted by fahad (Pakistan), Apr 26, 2009 at 13:56

mr daniel has interpreted jihad wrongly it is not a holy war but in islam it means (to strive or struggle)
it may be for spreadigs peace, giving rights to an orphan or forcing person itslf to do good.
types of jihad are
1 jihad by tongue
2 jihad with bad thinking of one,s self
3and with hand
in quran jihad never meant holy war because holy war is called(harm e muqaddasa)and no one will find this word in quran
i request people not to condem it without knowing it ist read about islam and thhen give opinion
i will be pleased to answer anyone's question... may peace be on you
