Sir - we are well aware of the 'desire' of Muslims to 'placate' non-Muslims with this sort of reasoning ... however ... what you are describing as 'every day jihad' is, in fact, the Greater Jihad presented in a single obscure a'hadith that can find no support in the Quran or in the remainder of the Sunnah ... what you so casually describe as 'Holy War', the (so called) Lesser Jihad is, in fact, the only form of Jihad that is fully supported within the Quran AND the Sunnah.

You 'complain' of having to struggle with 'every day' living for God as though you have no assistance ... this is a telling point of contention between Islam, Judaism and Christianity ...

in Judaism:

in Christianity:

Mat 28:18-20
And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
