Submitted by Sabine Kurjo McNeill (United Kingdom), Aug 23, 2003 at 04:17 When Christians do it, it's alright, it appears...Maybe it's worth thinking about the Western / Capitalist god 'mammon' vs the Muslim rules about how to create, manage and distribute money. 'Usury' or the practice of lending money at interest is the capitalist prerogative and assumed to be 'ok'. When US banks replace Islamic banks, it's not 'jihad' but 'liberation' and 'democracy'. Only 'economic democracy' will reveal true godliness!
