Submitted by Brittany (Australia), Sep 3, 2009 at 06:10 i dont understand why you do not translate jihad? jihad literally means struggle in arabic. you make out as though it means holy war! you are making western media look very bad. in the qur'an there is NO mention of holy war...so why make out as though jihad means holy war?! it also mainly refers to internal struggle..and sometimes can be applied to external struggle and thus physical defence of islam.
