Where Pride Preempts Love

Reader comment on item: What is Jihad?
in response to reader comment: M Tovey, Where is the Love in Jihad

Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Mar 29, 2021 at 15:05

Here is a presumption that the inference of there being any love in jihad was ambiguous at best, but tongue in cheek for observations sake. Ali Sina's observation is antithetical - religion is not controlled by love, neither is love served by religion, but reason can be religiously controlled. This is especially conditional when observing for some that Marxism is observable as atheistic because it does not want to acknowledge religious control over the rationality of human reason, an arrogance of pride.
Here is the arrogance of the statement; hate and love cannot coexist, no matter the attempts of that presumptive symbolic notion of the bumper sticker. Religion (especially in Islam) demands subjugation and abject obeisance to the humanist rejection of the love of God; this is obvious in the rejection of the Messianic Savior for salvation and remission of sins (like arrogant pride) as Islam does. Religion cannot save, not without love. Conviction, true conviction should bring repentance and seeking of the love of God, not religion.
Once love is determined as the cause to for seeking forgiveness for sin, Religion is powerless; thus, the spiritual irrationality of Ali Sina's statement. Therein is the cause of controversy between the Gospel of the redeeming love of the Savoir and the attempt to replace that love with subjugation (submission to Islam/religious jihad). Jihad then becomes the objective of Islamic adherence since they reject the love of the Eternal Sovereign through the Jewish Savior's sacrifice on the cross, observed this week.
This seems appropriate now:
فَتُحِبُّ الرَّبَّ إِلهَكَ مِنْ كُلِّ قَلبِكَ وَمِنْ كُلِّ نَفْسِكَ وَمِنْ كُلِّ قُوَّتِكَ.
وَلتَكُنْ هَذِهِ الكَلِمَاتُ التِي أَنَا أُوصِيكَ بِهَا اليَوْمَ عَلى قَلبِكَ
