there were no muslims till Muhammad preached his religion. after that he captured countries and forced to accept his religion. in fact even in its conception Islam was a violent religion and continues to be so. he preached to people that if they made even a single non muslim to muslim then they would get Janeet or heaven. If Islam was so non violent and so good, then at least the muslim people would fight among themselves

As we progress Islam is pulling towards destruction and jihad is really convert non muslim to muslim by any means
