Reader comment on item: What is Jihad?
in response to reader comment: ... Jihad means struggle, and is defensive not offensive.

Our dear David you quoted

>"Jihad is thus unabashedly offensive in nature, with the eventual goal of achieving Muslim dominion over the entire globe."

This is very true and the doctrine of al-jihad is based on the Quranic

kutiba 3alaykum al-qital

How come you did not know that?

>This bit made me laugh out loud.

Well we shall see

>Jihad Warfare is used when defending Islam.

Really? so where does it say in the Qur'an a book that you cannot read in Arabic

ina al-jihad harbun faqat lel defa3 3an al-islam

You will not find it

> This term should not only be applied to Islamic Terrorists,

Hello: this is a very islamic term and it means holy war and i'm not the one who is saying this but it comes from kutub al-turath al-islami as in the case of malik's Kitab al-jihad

>but any fight against an oppressor of Islam.

Really? so where would i find in the Qur'an anything close to

ina ma3na lafz aw kilmat al-jihad: muharabat al-zalm wa al-baghi ded al-islam

>You will not find it and your claim is bogus

You also need to realize that Saddam's terrorists are about as Muslim as David Koresh's Branch Davidians were Christian.

Really? where ould i find in the NT anything even close to this nasty jihad? You will not find.

> The middle east is in a state of chaos and has spawned many radicals. We shouldn't judge an entire religion based on these crazies.

Well the source of these crazies is a book of Arabian ignorance that shall remain unnamed

Oh you need to stick to urdu
