susan, your assumption might be correct , but your example is wrong.

Pakistan is a muslim dominated country from the very beginning ,it's an Islamic country.

Egypt is also an Islamic nation ,

India is not an islamic nation, But Islam came to India through Muslim conquerors who spread the religion through forceful conversions
