MuslimsReader comment on item: What is Jihad? Submitted by Fred Inglis (Australia), Nov 27, 2008 at 16:13 True Christians hate no one, if they should fall into that sin they sin against Jesus . It is recorded in the book at the place Mathew chapter 5 verses 44-45 that Jesus gave this commandment, 44. "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which desplitefully use you, and perecute you; 45 That you may be children of your Father who is in heaven, for he makes the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." The Christians jihad is as written in the Book "We fight not against principalites and powers here but against pricipalites in heavenly places" The people of the way [now called despitfully Christian.] are commited to jihad against Satan and his angels! No one else. The Muslim is not encouraged to read the scriptures of the people of the book,on the other hand we are encouraged to read the scriptures of Islam, so that we may understand that religion. I hold this position. If I want to know what the Muslim believes I will not ask the Christain, I will ask of the different parties in Islam ,But if I was a muslim and wanted to know what the Christians believe I will not ask the Muslim I will ask the different parties of the Christian faith! Gods blessing to all. Fred. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
