Islam, Religion of Peace?

Reader comment on item: [Pakistani Christians and] A War Against What?

Islam, Religion of Peace? Recent history provides the facts that Islam is not a religion of peace. The violence that came out of the Danish cartoon issue, the call for the death of Abdul Rahman, the dictatorships that exist in just about every muslim country, the Taliban, etc etc...are the fruit of Islam. We are not talking about a few bad apples in the bunch, rather there is very little in Islam to feed its people. If you live in a muslim country there is no way to even discuss an alternative.
