ExistentialismReader comment on item: [Pakistani Christians and] A War Against What? Submitted by Hammad (United Kingdom), Aug 16, 2006 at 08:04 Mr. Lal, You have gone to great depths in studying the phenomenon. I will ask you just one question. Why did not this issue of terrorism arise in the past 1400 years of islams existence and why is it there now? If the Quran inherently teaches the same then this should have been going on for ages. I think to the whole issue there are two main reasons. First, the impact of wars such as the Afghan Wars and the continual problems in areas such as Palestine and Kashmir. One we resolve these then the people who are at the extremists will loose credibility and hence we could ensure peace. Quran preaches mercy and dialogue. It encourages forgiveness over enmity and vengeance. This is my opinion, others may beg to differ.
