Reply to a Christian looking at the whole mess,Reader comment on item: [Pakistani Christians and] A War Against What? Submitted by Abdul Majeed (India), Nov 15, 2003 at 02:36 My dear freind,Just a comment on your statement. "I agree, some verses contain some instigation to violence, but so does the bible (especially in the old testament). It's all about knowing the whole historical context those holy books were written in. It's all about not misinterpreting those holy books" There is nothing as instigating violence in Quran. One needs to read Holy Quran with footnotes. Holy Quran is compilation of revelations sent to Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) on specific occasions. So if you read the translation of Quran without the background for what it is revealed, you will definitely get confused. This is the technic used by Freethinkers to attack Holy Quran. I will (Insha Allah) reply to all these freethinkers who attacks Muslims for no reason or rhyme.
