Reader comment on item: [Pakistani Christians and] A War Against What?

Peace to all;

My name is Abdullah and I'm from Israeli-Occupied Palestine, currently living in the West.

Islam is not the problem. Muslims are the problem. Todays Muslims are ignorant of their religion, even the basics of their religion. The Muslims have become a burden on the whole world because they have disconnected their lives from the Sacred Tradition of Islam, and don't want to do anything about it. They have become a people of sentimentalism, whining and crying, blaming Israel and the West for all their pathetic problems. Many Muslims don't even have the correct belief in Allah (God) (as shown to them by the two theological school of Islam - Ashari and Maturidi schools of belief), or even know how to pray correctly. At the same time, you have a radical sect of Muslims (Wahhabism/Salafism) whom are taking advantage of this ignorance, and are imposing their ugly disgusting version of Islam on the people.

Palestine

The Palestinians have to realize that their is no way that they can liberate their land from Israel anytime soon. Israel is powerful and it has an army, F-16's, tanks, etc. The Palestinians have rocks and a few ak-47's. The Palestinians must stop their intifada, and settle for a broken up tiny Palestinian state. At least, it is better than nothing. At least, the killing, suffering, and violence will decrease like big-time. Jerusalem is out of the question; Israel will never give it up, but at least, the Muslims could still pray in the al-Aqsa mosque. The Palestinians need to control their hot temper, and they need to instead educate themselves of the rich Tradition of Islam. When the Muslims unite, become educated in their Tradition, establish a pan-Islamic Caliphate, and when they have f-16's, tanks, a well-trained sophisticated army like the US Army, then they can smile at Israel and kindly ask Israel to hand back Palestine.

Iraq

The Iraqis are waisting their time in fiqhting America, rather, they should thank America for taking out Saddam, and help America to re-build Iraq and establish a government. At the same time, the Iraqis should educate themselves in the rich Tradition of Islam, and show the Americans the intellectual and spiritual beauty of Islam. I think that is more progressive than mutilating American bodies, dancing around them, and yelling "Allahu Akbar".

The West

The West needs to educate themselves of the rich Tradition of Islam, and they need to help their Muslim brethren to fight extremism and Wahhabism. The West needs to help the Muslims revive Orthodox Islam, and at the heart of Orthodox Islam is Sufism, the spiritual heart of Islam. Islam is a way of life that is ONLY here for the ONLY purpose to call mankind towards the Divine and to rectify and purify the muddied hearts of man.

We can start by studying the following spiritual intellectual websites on Islam. Be sincere and have an open-mind and pure heart when studying the following websites:

Here is an excellent article on the forgotten revolution: Islamic Spirituality

Abdullah
