Mohamed Mohamed writes in his comment ( http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/4165 ) that "numbers you use everyday, came from people who followed the so called "evil religion."".

This is utterly false and perhaps one of the lies that are fed to young muslims. The numbers are from Hindus and the plundering arabs took it from India with them. Read about it at http://www.scit.wlv.ac.uk/university/scit/modules/mm2217/han.htm . The fact is the arabs went about conquering, killing and appropriating the wealth (material and intellectual) of other civlizations. This is a historical fact.
