... Islam has always been one of the perdominant religions in the contemporary society due to one fact, the media. Since 9/11 they have systematically highlighted Islamic newstories, which the militant Islamic groups desire. Maybe if the western media would stop showing stories that promote Islamic fundamentalism and their ideologies, i.e. through their suicide bombings etc. , perhaps the Islamic militant leadership will be frustrated as they cannot get their message out to the wider world through their only mouth piece and halt the attraction militant actions have, as they will not be covered in the news.
