Islam is not peace.

Reader comment on item: [Pakistani Christians and] A War Against What?

Submitted by Davey (United Kingdom), Feb 25, 2004 at 06:37

The vast majority of non muslims do not find that Islam is a religion of peace. It treats women as inferior. It forbids muslims to have any relations with non muslims. It metes out savage punishment for indiscretions like adultery. It advocates death to gays. Then, how can muslims still justify that it's a religion of peace and tolerance. They state there is no compulsion in Islam, when they contradict themselves by stating that they are following Allah's mission to convert non believers? They only have regard for Shariah law. They openly declare their hatred of western values. How can they insist that the Koran is God's word, and all other religions are false.
