in response to reader comment: IT IS OBVIOUS IN THE CAMBRIDGE HISTORY OF ISLAM THAT MECCANS STARTED TO FIGHT FIRST

Nozzi you write:

>>Refer tothe Cambridge History of Islam and/or biography of Muhammad, all these are the good evidence to prove that Meccans were the first that started their persecution since year 610. You insist your explanation is correct. However, you have failed to read out all these articles about Meccans. For instance, if Meccans would respect our religions and did not start their battle against Muhammad and his followers when they preached the message of Allah to them, they would not fight back.<<

Since you have the Cambridge History quote the page number where it says the Meccans were the first to attack the Muslims.

I do no have a copy of the book you refer to. But I picked out a sentence you had posted from it and showed you that the Cambridge History also states that Muhammad went to loot a Meccan caravan without provocation. I also showed you from Muslim historians that Muhammad faced some minor problems only when he started abusing the Meccan mode of worship. You claim that Muslims were fighting back is just "taqia" on your part.
