Deborah, you got it all wrongReader comment on item: A Saudi Prince's Threat to the Obama Administration Submitted by Seamus Dafydd Dives MacNemi (United States), Oct 10, 2009 at 20:42 It was not the Pharisees who crucified Jeshua it was the Romans and they crucified him because his teaching represented a distinct threat to their rule in Judea and the whole of Israel. They were the ones who put the false king Herod on the throne and kept him in power. The entire ruling class at that time was corrupted by the influence of Hellenism and the Roman occupation and the common people were being taxed into oblivion to support the Roman rule and the oppression of their religion. The so called High Priest, Caiphas, had absolutely no legitimate claim on that position. He was appointed by Herod and was in that position because he was a lacky of the Romans and served their interests and not the interests of the people. Jeshuas reprimand was against the corrupt officials synchophants and hangers on who served the Romans and not against the Pharisees. You should know that the New Testement that came out of Nicea was composed solely to discredit the legitimate Jewish religious authorities and that is the cause of all of the troubles that the Jews have suffered for the last two thousand years.
