Amazon should read up on what is going on in Darfur

Reader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem

Submitted by Dr RJP (United States), Feb 23, 2006 at 00:17

In Darfur, imams and mullahs are being murdered, mosques are being burned to the ground, and Korans are being deficated and urinated upon.

Where was the outrage from the Muslim world??

For that matter where was their outrage when fellow Muslims were being ethnically cleansed in other parts of the world?

Whatever excuses are given for Muslim outrage against the West, be they allegedly defacing the Koran, or publishing "blasphemous" Muhammed cartoons, they nothing but red herrings. Our very existence is viewed as being an insult to their beliefs, so how can anyone seriously claim that we are being insensitive to them?

On the flip side, the same Muslims (not all, mind you) who cry "Desecration," are busy at work desecrating Christian, Jewish, and Bhuddist religious objects and places of worhsip around the world.

I am totally sick of sucking up to these disengenuous and dishonest hypocrites. Amazon: your response should have been "TFB!"
