Reader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem

Submitted by ROBERT SHUMAN (United States), May 20, 2005 at 14:34

Dear patty, I am a longtime customer of amazon and of books both old and new.I also occasionally sell books thru amazon. I read daniel pipes' description of the 'defaced koran' story, and if it is correct, I am both saddened and concerned re: amazon's apparent willigness to agree to the demands of MPAC. Stand up for 'caveat emptor,' and do not allow amazon to be used for political ends. What I enjoy about amazon is its existence as a marketplace for books, as well as reviews and ideas. Be brave.
